Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it is a good opportunity to meet the locals and get a bit further beneath the skin understanding the cultures of a country from an insider perspective. The ethos of reciprocal exchange also resonates with me alot.

I love films particularly raw, foreign ones. My favourite directors are: Terry Gilliam, P.T Anderson, Darren Arofonsky, Stanley Kubrick, Akira Kurosawa and many more.

I read alot of books from genres all over the place. I particularly enjoy beat poetry and Scifi.
Favourite authors include Jack Kerouac, Philip K. Dick, Dostoevsky, Joseph Conrad and George R R Martin.

5 day meditation retreat in Thailand, keen to do more.

I am interested in eastern religions particularly Buddhism. I enjoy learning about how humans make sense of themselves and their environment and the relationships they have with the world.
