Overview
About Me
Recently married in July 2016, my wife Kaitlin and I are avid travelers and quit our jobs and left our home to travel in Europe for a couple months. We are very laid-back and easy-going people and always love a good coffee or tea.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We think the experience of meeting locals and getting the "inside scoop" of the city is better than sitting pampered in a hotel room and watching TV.
Interests
Brendon:
I have been a hobbyist photographer for many years and always enjoy composing great images. In the last couple years I began shooting weddings professionally. I love most outdoor activities such as hiking, bouldering, cycling, running, and more. I work on vintage bicycles in my spare time and am looking to start my own bike shop in the near future.
Kaitlin:
I love meeting new people, playing piano and violin, reading, yoga, horseback riding, hiking, cycling, and anything that involves learning different modes of personal transformation. I am currently transitioning from a career as a music teacher to Transformation Specialist. I am excited to take some time to travel before I begin a new season of life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Brendon:
I have cycle-toured throughout most of my home state in Washington, USA. Many great memories were made with friends and many long days in the saddle. I've cycled through heavy downpours and lightning storms, as well as blisteringly hot summer sun. I was dive-bombed by a large hawk and met crazy fellow bike tourers. I also hiked up to the first base camp of Mount Everest in 2010.
Kaitlin:
Performed with the PLU Orchestra in France and Germany and ran my own music studio for 12 years.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We would love to repay the hospitality in any way that is helpful for the hosts (money, food, etc). Additionally, I can fix just about anything on your bicycle. Need your bike fixed? I'm on it.
