Im Brenna ! I'm from a place called Launceston, the second biggest town in Tasmania (an island off the south east coast of Australia).
Growing up in Tasmania, nature and the outdoors have been hugely accessible to me. I have enjoyed a lot of time on the East Coast of Tasmania, spending time in the ocean.

I really enjoy being social and meeting new people, spending time with my friends and family, being outdoors, hiking, swimming, snowboarding, going to music festivals and gigs, cooking, reading, and all things creative.

In 2014 I spent 6 months in New Zealand, I went travelling solo to experience a snow season and learn how to snowboard, I spent a lot of time hiking and meeting new friends.
At the beginning of 2016 I spent a month in Indonesia and also visited Singapore.

I'm a super easy-going and chatty person, I'm very respectful and like to help out others and my friends as much as possible.

If you have me as a couch surfer I would love to cook foods for/with you, chat with you about travel and life experiences and would be open to any local attractions or destinations you recommend.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will have 8 months in Europe- and will be travelling by myself for the most part so I will be relying partly on couch surfing to meet new people and make friends

This is my second time travelling solo, I didn't use couch surfing the first time but I think it's a great way to meet people and learn things about the local culture

I have an old soul style of music- I love Blues and soul music.
I love music a lot and enjoy all kinds, I'll attend any type of concert, festival or gig.

My favourite books is Into the Wild- Jon Krakauer, I also like classics and philosophical books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked some trails at Abel Tasman national park, North-West coast of New Zealand, South Island by myself in the shoulder season with no one in sight

Meeting locals in Lombok, Indonesia and being invited to see their homes and property where their families shared and worked on a small rice farm

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm currently learning to knit, I recently did a short course in pottery where I learnt to make bowls and cups and I'm also practicing with water colour paints

I really love baking- cakes and desserts, but I enjoy cooking all kinds of food and learning/tasting new cuisines

I would love to learn a new language- German and Spanish interest me. I would also love to help others better their English if they wanted to
