Overview
About Me
I am a young professional who craves adventure, will never stop seeking opportunities to learn, loves developing new friendships, and being active.
I try to relish each new experience and understand that if you're not open to trying something new, you'll live the same life you did yesterday. If "yes" is an option, I typically won't say "no."
I’m (relatively) quiet, clean, very conscientious, independent, and adventurous.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to immerse myself in the local culture of area that I am in. I am looking for an authentic experience and I believe that Couchsurfing is the best avenue for that.
Interests
I love my job and I work a TON! It challenges me, provides a creative outlet, and there's always room for improvement.
I am high energy and have developed a long list of active hobbies that include sailing, skiing, hiking, etc. If it can be done outside, I'm all in.
I am also a connoisseur of culture. I enjoy reading, film, art, speaking about politics and cultural differences. I've committed myself to a lifetime of development and learning.
Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy all types of music, from pan flute to rap, country (some) to electronic (some). I think there is a time and a place for everything. Except metal - that hurts my ears :)
Movies - Garden State, Slumdog Millionaire, Gladiator, Last of the Mohicans, Glory, the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Pitch Perfect.
Books - Pillars of the Earth, The Kingkiller Chronicals (Name of the Wind, Wise Man's Fear), The Way Of Kings series, GOT series, Wool Omnibus series, Gates of Fire.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I earned my 6 pack skippers license, which means I am coast guard approved captain on vessels up to 50 ft (under sail and power). The 9 day practical exam in the San Juan Islands was one of the most magical weeks of my life. I'll never forgot how it felt learning to read the wind, overcoming obstacles in heavy weather, running the crew, and coming away from a week on the water with 5 new friends.
That week changed my life forever and it was in my own backyard, Seattle, WA!
Teach, Learn, Share
Like I said, I'm always eager to learn! I hope you are too - I'll share what I know!
