About Me

I am a renegade set out into this reality (Earth, 3rd dimension) with the prime purpose of receiving Light and spreading Light and Love into this reality in order to raise the frequency. I believe anything is possible and allowed in this universe, and so creation will create. If you want to create something in your reality, all you must do is align intention, courage, and will with your soul, spirit, heart. Mix all that together and add a dash of nerve, and you will achieve whatever you wish. Grounding in important. Stay connected to Earth. We are all powerful and beautiful beings, and so is our surroundings.

I believe strongly in sustainability, equality, community, and respect and care of all that is sacred. I try my best to live consciously and make conscious decisions. I am on a path of self-discovery, as we all are.

I enjoy meeting new people and think it is wise to learn about other cultures, practices, and belief systems. I aspire to learn as many skills as I can, including speaking foreign languages, crafting, singing, dancing, drawing/painting/writing, etc. Though I want to do all these things, I often lack the energy. This is something I am working on resolving and changing.

I want to be an effective person in this world, and make a difference. I believe that the way I can make a difference is to inspire others through leading by example. My main interests are watching life unfold inside and out, and the experiment with how I effect this unfolding vortex of energies.

I really enjoy physical activity, so I am mostly interested in looking for hosts who also engage in physical activity, specifically in the outdoors! I love hiking, trekking, caving, kayaking, yoga, surfing, muay thai or other martial arts, calisthenics, meditation, breathing, swimming, biking, camping, etc.

I also have recently sparked an interest in writing poems and lyrics. I have made a goal for myself to become engaged in the world of music and words, as well as communicate more effectively, transparently, and truthfully with myself and others.

I am interested in literature and philosophy, as well as some bits of history, as I think history is very important.

I am obviously interested in many, many subjects, but above all, I am interested and passionately driven by sustainability, permaculture, biology, and the conservation of this Living Library that we are and co-exist with that is so beautiful that no combination of words uttered could completely capture is essence.

That is what I have to say about me. I hope you enjoy~

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I would prefer to stay with locals in the places I visit.

Why stay with locals?

Staying with locals offers a better chance to get the know the area intimately, and if the local is native to the area, they will offer a chance to learn about the local culture and possibly a bit of the language too. Locals will by nature know more about the area, and all it's hidden charms that are so often overlooked by travelers who stay in hotels, hostels, or guesthouses. The locals will have better advice on where to go, what to see, and which places are the tourist traps. Staying with locals is the more authentic way to go!

Another reason I am on Couchsurfing is to provide a safe, fun, and hopefully knowledgeable environment for surfers to stay at my home in Canada! (upon my return home, that is)

I am currently travelling throughout Southeast Asia, specifically to Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and hopefully Myanmar!

Been to Indonesia already, and it was great, I would go back. Ask me about it.

I am currently in Laos.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am really into WHY? Right now. This band has been a complete inspiration and challenge for me on this trip. I probably listen to two or three WHY? albums a day.

I also really like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Damien Marley, Nas, Mos Def, Wookie Foot, Radiohead, Bedouin Soundclash, Arctic Monkeys, and a whole lot more. I'm just bad at remembering names and bands on the spot. Those are the main ones though.

My favorite authors are Paulo Coelho, George R.R. Martin, J.K. Rowling, and J R.R. Tolkien.
I love fantasy sagas and philosophical books.

I'm not well read in poetry, as I've recently taken a liking to it, but if I were to choose a poet that I like best it would be Khalil Gibran with The Prophet.

I'm a bit of a movie buff. My favorites are the LOTR trilogy, Avatar, and Apocalypso off the top of my head.

I really enjoy films that delve into controversial subjects, explore the darker, quirky side of the mind or ego, or are light hearted, vulgar, and comical.

I love Will Ferrel movies, he's great.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is a tricky question , considering that every one has their own perception of amazing.

I would consider the fact that I summoned up the courage and the will to manifest a trip halfway across the world for the first time in my life. It's been an incredible experience so far, and I have no regrets. Travelling in a foreign country so far from home has opened my eyes to humanity, changing my views on the world and my reality. This experience has brought into the light what my strengths are and what my weaknesses are, and sparked a focus and desire to shape myself into the person I want to become. It has indeed been a life altering decision, and I had the guts to do it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a little about a lot, a jack of all trades, if you will. Ask me to delve deep into a subject and tell you all there is to know of it, I probably can't do that. Still, due to my curiosity I know many things and am always open to sharing and passing on my knowledge.

What jumps to mind is that I can teach you yoga, meditation techniques and practices, how to swim really good, how to draw an animal, or about biology.

Another thing is like to mention is that I love hugs. I think human contact is important, and hugs are essential. I don't often go in for hugs with strangers, because I like to be respectful of wrap all spaces, but if you like hugs too, please don't hesitate to tell me. Free hugs!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer a fun bud to do activities with if you're into it. I am almost always open for conversation about almost ANYTHING, so please don't hesitate to ask any questions. I'm very flexible and don't need much, though food, water, and a warm place to sleep are essentials. I always want to pitch in and help out in fair exchange, such as cooking, doing dishes, and making sure I clean up after myself. I hope I am able to supply information or just a friendly, easy attitude for you to enjoy. My intention is to meet people for the sake of experience and the hopes of making new friends and positive connections.
