ABOUT ME

Hey everyone! I think I'm a pretty optimistic, accepting, open minded, fun, and adventurous person.

I graduated from college a year ago with a BA in Psychology. Currently living in France as an English Language Assistant at 3 French public middle schools in central France. Got accepted to grad school to get a masters/doctorate in Occupational Therapy (similar to physical therapy)! Woohoo! I start mid May, 2013.

I love just hanging out with my friends - whether it be having serious political/sociological/psychological/philosophical etc discussions, or just joking around, having drinks, and partying.
And I love meeting new people, exploring new places, trying new things, having adventures, and all those typical CS-y things. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only surfed so far, as I haven't had a space where I can accept surfers yet (and probably wont until I finish school), but I do want to do both! Hosting and surfing. If I have time I'd like to get even more involved eventually. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed for my first time in Paris the summer of 2010 and had a fantastic time. Since then I've couchsurfed in Paris again and in Brussels, Belgium in 2012. I love the idea of this community and what it stands for and would love to experience more. So far I haven't had space to host anyone, but I hope I can return the favor sometime soon and be as good a host as mine were for me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved from Michigan to California with my mom when I was 17, making it across the country with a minivan and uhaul in 3 days.
Studied abroad in Paris, now doing the Teaching Assistant Program in France in the Auvergne region. Seen breathtakingly beautiful sites throughout Europe. (see places I've travelled)

TESOL Certified English Teacher, working as English Language Assistant in France. Very good in English. :D
I have learned a lot about psychology, so maybe I can tell you something new about the mind, people, behavior, research.
