ABOUT ME
I have spent the last few years trying to do exactly what makes me happy. At times this was traveling, working as a backpacking guide, thru hiking the Appalachian Trail, and now working as a bike messenger in NYC. Each experience has been unique, challenging, and ultimately satisfying.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to every day find something that increases my desire to live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to this. Hopefully I will get to experience new places, meet new friends, and once I have a place for people to stay, return the favor.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was hitchhiking through Maine with 3 friends and a woman picked us up, brought us to downtown Portland so we could see the town, let us stay at her house, made us breakfast with food grown on her farm, and bought pizza for lunch before dropping us off down the road so we could continue our journey. She had hosted couchsurfers in the past and was totally comfortable opening her home to a bunch of strangers who had been dancing with their thumbs out on the side of the road. We helped her move around some furniture in return, but it was nothing compared to what she had done for us- her generosity was overwhelming and made me want to be part of this community.
