Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live life as a dérive :)
ABOUT ME
An open-mind, also curious and easy-going, interested in different cultures and new ways of thinking. I seek adventure yet prefer to get to know a place though its every-day interactions, people and routines. I'm more likely to take a photo of the layers of an old residential neighborhood than I am of a famous monument.
I'm an urban designer by training and always have an eye open for complexities and solutions within any given urban environment. I love wandering around a place on foot, noticing the smaller details as I form a larger mental map. Seasonal changes, flora, fauna and geographic characteristics are always of interest to me. I gravitate toward cafes, history, art, good food and human-scale busy public places.
PHILOSOPHY
Star dust.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Usually historic non-fiction, memoir or comic. For example, Birds Without Wings, The Lemon Tree, Curry: A tail of cooks and conquerors - among others. At the moment I'm reading Spice: The history of a temptation.
Music: A plethora - in general a fan of indi music, and classics like Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin
Movies: Off beat comedies and mocumentaries
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My most recent 'amazing' moment occurred when a pine nut - pine cone I purchased during the winter holiday suddenly burst open with a loud crackle. It had been sealed tightly sitting on my desk for months. I'd nearly given up hope of recovering any pin nuts, then spring arrived and POP viola! open.
