Overview
About Me
I'm a Canadian wanderer with a business degree and passion for new things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couch surfing because I love making meaningful connections, lasting friendships, and exposing myself to the real cultures of the places I'm so lucky to travel to. My hope with each surf is to really see the local life, and immerse myself in a new culture for a one of a kind experience that no amount of money could ever buy.
Interests
My interests are:
- basically any sport
* i play soccer (football to most of the rest of the world), ice hockey, golf (poorly), and a bit of tennis (also poorly)
- travel, travel, travel
- learning to cook
- mastering my vegetable garden
- animals (I have a German shepherd cross back home)
- camping and hiking
- the outdoors / nature
- adventuring
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm fairly easy going when it comes to music. I like a bit of a lot of different genres including rap, hip hop, top 40, country music, alternative, though my favourite is rock. My top bands are Rise Against, and Linkin Park.
In terms of books, my favourites genre is fantasy and my top picks for books are the Game of Thrones series, Angels and Demons, and Homeland.
Lord of the Rings, Old School, and Anchorman are my favourite movies. I prefer comedies, thrillers, suspense, and the occasional horror flick.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swam with photofluorescent plankton at midnight under a blanket of stars and lightning.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm happy to help teach and improve any English skills of those I'm with.
I want to learn the culture and real way of life of the locals I meet. I want to live like a local.
I like sharing my culture, my stories, my thoughts, my experience, and my advice. Most of all I like sharing new experiences with people.
