About Me
Hi,
My name is Brent. I'm from a small country town in NSW, Australia. I currently live in Newcastle, Australia.
I have a degree in electrical engineering, and had worked as an engineer for almost 8 years. I recently left my job as I want to try something new, help other people and experience different cultures.
I'm very easy going and I have a good sense of humour.
I'm not yet fluent but I can also communicate well in portuguese (brazilian). I can speak a little spanish and i'm learning more each day!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My housemate Justin has been on couchsurfing for several years and we've hosted a lot of couchsurfers in our house.
We've met some great people from all over the world and had a lot of fun.
Now that I'm planning to travel a little, it's probably a good idea that I have my own account :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I'm a bit old fashioned. I love Rock'n'roll, and bluesy hillbilly music, as well as classical music without vocals!
Movies: Mainly comedies. Nothing even slightly scary!
Books: I don't read a lot of books, but when I do they are typically non-fiction, history, autobiography, etc
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seen Australia 'do their best' in the Football World Cups of South Africa and Brazil.
Seen Australia win the Cricket World Cup (in Australia).
Backpacked around Europe, skydived in New Zealand, watched sunset in Uluru, visited the jungle of Malaysia and driven around Tasmania.
Scored an albatross while playing golf (fluke!)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm pretty good with English, mathematics and electronics.
I used to be pretty good at science, especially physics and chemistry, but I might not remember too well ;-)
I cam also share what I know of Australia, Australian sports and culture.
I'd love to learn more Spanish and learn about what makes people excited in the places I visit.
What I Can Share with Hosts
