To have an adventure
ABOUT ME
I am New Orleans native driving through Europe for the Summer seeing friends and going to places I have always wanted to see.
I enjoy a good chat, not just about travel, but about love, life, sex, philosophy, music, or anything that is not too serious (no religion or politics for me).
I'm currently on an expedition of adventure around the world. I've always loved exploring, ever since I was a kid and I definitely prefer to meet the locals and explore unknown places rather than just hitting the main backpacking circuit the whole time.
No offense, I like the occasional museums, churches, cathedrals, and castles but usually become bored after awhile with the same old walking tours, the same old photos. I want adventure. Lets go on a hike, lets go camping, lets go fishing, lets go to a music festival. If you can afford it, lets go scuba diving! Or, for the more laid back times, grab a beer and have a conversation. Enjoy some good local food, or even attempt to cook some ourselves. Nothing really beats staying up late, looking at the stars, enjoying good conversation with great new friends over a few wines and a meal.
I also enjoy a good party. In New Orleans, we have one of the best music festivals in the world called the New Orleans Jazz Fest where 100,000 people a year turn up. One of hte best times I ever had at a music festival was here my senior year in high school when my friends and I skipped school to catch one of our favorite artists. The local sheriff from our parish ended up buying us beer throughout the day. We had a blast and we thought we had gotten away with missing school until the next Christmas when I opened my presents and one was a picture of me at the concert. My jaw dropped at having been found out a 8 months after the fact. Anyway, it turned out my mom found out after looking at that year's brochure for the music festival. It turned out the picture of me at last year's festival was on the front page of the brochure. Well, if you are going to be busted, that's the best way.
Here is my tentative plan if anyone is going to be in the area and want to meet up.

PHILOSOPHY
You choose to enjoy or not to enjoy. You make your own happiness (unless you live where there is 20 hours of night then, you have a right to be grumpy).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
*I take part in the groups/forums online as much as possible.
* I attend CouchSurfing meetings in all the places I visit. I try and hold meetings to include all the single travellers like me.
* I spread the good word (about CouchSurfing) in every city I visit.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had a great time traveling through Europe and meeting fellow CSers for a few drinks and laughs. The first time I CSerfed at someone's place was in Lithuania with 3 other people who I had never met prior to that day. Because of our awesome host, we all ended up seeing more of the country than we ever thought possible. It was my first of many great adventures via CS.
Interests
making my days count, taking a road trip to anywhere, hiking, skiing, scuba diving, reading, trekking, flying, listening to outrageous stories, seeking out adventures, looking at the sunset and enjoying the last warmth of the day, seeing friends you have not seen in forever, and creating spectacular memories
