About Me

I am a fun loving, neat and very polite guy, I work on cruise ships where I see the world and meet a number of people. Sometimes, I just like to explore and see the world from a different point of view.
I speak a number of languages as my profession is translator, so new languages excite me and I am very open to new cultures. Practicing Buddhist and Catholic at the same time! If you can imagine.
Would love to meet new people with open minds and new ideas.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of being in another country with a local. I believe that people who are in their own element give a different view of their own country and with that carry a sense of protection such as where to go, what to eat and how to approach local customs and traditions. Plus, I love to just make new friends and enjoy every one's company.

Interests

I like art, history, geography, local traditions and customs. Love to explore new approaches to life in general.
Love swimming, tennis, scrabble ( yeah, I know!), trivial pursuit and other fun stuff.
Am openly gay and love the LGBT scene and to meet others like me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Brazilian , Jazz, any music where the singers are not English speakers. Mostly every genre except offensive lyrics or heavy metal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have managed to explore South Africa and was very close to a lion, such a beautiful animal!
I also managed to assist some people to get through a difficult time in Jamaica. They were Swedish and were very old. I had to spend 5 days with them and made sure they were safe while the wife was hospitalized.
I may have done other things but can be a little shy as I feel that helping other people is better done and never mentioned that bragging too much.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe that the world is a place full of mystery and adventure, I feel that as humans no matter who we are we can grow from each other and learn.
As someone who comes from a multi cultural background, I can help others understand what it means to be different yet unique and to celebrate ourselves as wonders to be discovered and to grow.

What I Can Share with Hosts

English is my native language and would help them to improve. I love cleaning and believe it or not...ironing! I love to help around the house and can help my hosts even babysitting if necessary!
I come from a large family, 6 brothers and 2 sisters!
But, being the last, I had to babysit my nephews and nieces....so I am comfortable with kids. They have an incredible view point!
