ABOUT ME

Brent is a Father, Entrepreneur, and an IT Solutions Analyst at NC State University. Jennise is a Mother, Writer and Regulatory Compliance Professional at NC State University. We have been together for almost 2 decades. We have one daughter. When we are not traveling, experiencing new places and cultures we actually enjoy being at home relaxing with our unit. However we do like to go out to restaurants while meeting friends for drinks or dinner or to hand out for group gatherings to participate in various activities. We love to have a good time and are open minded to many things and are most likely willing to try anything once.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't put off something for tomorrow that you want to do today, you might not be around to do it! Enjoy the beauty that is today, don't over think it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We would like to find local places to stay when we travel to get the best traveling experiences from the local hosts knowledge and hopefully host others as well when we can, (though the requests to stay with us in Raleigh are kind of sparse, lol). Logging can be an expensive proposition for many when they travel and if we can elevate that burden even slightly so that they can be free to explore and enjoy the place they travel to and not just go there. Any way we can help to make your travel experience better we will go the extra mile.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've stayed with multiple hosts since we started surfing June 2012 and everywhere we've stayed turned out to be a great and unique experience. We have made so many friends and meet so many great people during the time we have stayed with all our wonderful hosts on CS. We would like to continue to experience others cities and cultures not only in the US but around the world. We have surfed in many states around the US but not yet overseas.

Interests

Going to thrift stores and flea markets to find unique items to add to our home and collection of a million different things.. Watching great tv shows or movies, listening to music, cooking, enjoying our family and friends, hanging out socially. We enjoy a wide array of different activities including outdoor stuff. When its nice we would rather be out enjoying the day. We love to travel and experience new people and environments.

Music, Movies, and Books

We own a considerable amount of books if not more, covering many different things from a-z we also love to watch movies including comedies and dramas among others. Brent is a tv series addict and he likes almost every genre and has an endless number of other things to keep him busy.. We cook meals at home 5 out of 6 days a week and have been experimenting with food from many different cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the summer of 2014 we built a makeshift RV out of a van and hit the road for over 40 days and nights. Crisscrossing the US from NC to FL to CA and back, we logged just a little over 11,000 miles on the road and traveled to over 30 major cities along the way. It was the trip of a lifetime and we are so eager to get back on the road sometime soon. There were so many amazing things we don't think there is enough space on this box to put it all. We have boat loads of stories including sleeping under the stars in Nevada 300 miles from anyone, biking across the Golden Gate Bridge, and hanging off the edge of the Grand Canyon.
