ABOUT ME
Oof time to update this.
I lived my first 24 years in the US - primarily in Colorado.
Graduated August 2011 with a masters in particle physics and a bachelors in art history. Found myself unattached with some time to kill and life to live before I did that whole PhD thing so I figured I'd move abroad. Currently living and working as a high school physics teacher here in Hangzhou China - a totally interesting, sometime arresting, culture and I feel so blessed to get to be a part of it.
PHILOSOPHY
I have opinions, but each situation deserves it's own attention.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to travel, and I love to do it cheaply, and I'd love to help others do the same.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted 5 or so people when I lived in the states, and a few people here in China.
I've surfed twice so far here in China, looking forward to doing it more when I start getting more time off.
Interests
I love art, opera, physics, and traveling. I don't have much time for much else. But when I do it's hanging out with friends in some capacity. Spending a lot of time now trying to wrap my brain around this language.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read sort of 50-50 stuff for my brain and stuff for my soul. I love science (for the lay-person) books, and I love art books, and I love history books. But I also love those trashy books. And really love a mixture of the two.
Been reading the Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones series. Sheepishly loving it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Neo-Nazi white power rally in Rome.
New years eve party on the Nile with someone I later found out was an Egyptian folk star.
Shared a glass of Japanese whisky to the food of a Turkish man on an open roof in Luxor.
Hiked the wisdom trail in a cloud up Lantau Peak.
Teach, Learn, Share
Not even sure how I'd start this section. I have so much little random knowledge I'd be happy to share, but I don't know what's redundant for people to hear though. If you have a question about Hangzhou or Colorado feel free to ask though.
Countries I’ve Visited
