About Me

I'm a traveling suitcase entrepreneur. I love to read, write, I have a taste for self reflection and adventure.

I've always been physically active. I enjoy many sports, particularly Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

I also love being on the water. I took up sailing about 5 years ago and fell in love with it.

I moved to the US in January 2015 after living in Japan for nearly 10 years. Japan was the most beautiful, safe and peaceful place I've ever been. It was extremely difficult to leave.

I'm currently living in Kentucky with my wife and two sons and I'm very focused on building my business. I don't get out and party much. I don't drink much. I don't smoke.

But I do enjoy people with high energy. I feed off of it even though it tends to wear me out after a while.

I love adventure! I've never been sky-diving but I want to try it. For 5 years in a row I rode my bike 800 miles across Japan to raise money for LiveSTRONG after a close friend was diagnosed with breast cancer. You can check out our site at www.tourdesasebo.com.
I really want to see Kilimanjaro and hike to base camp of Everest, among many other things.

These days I mostly prefer to ride my bike, read, eat healthy, take care of myself (I was a fitness professional for 15+ years) and enjoy good company.

I like hugs... Ok, I love hugs. And there's no better experience that connecting with another person and viewing g life through another set of eyes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's mostly boring to travel and sit in a hotel all by yourself (although it is sometimes needed and welcome). I like meeting people and experiencing their lives in their environment. What better way to do that than to be welcome into their home?

Teach, Learn, Share

I have managed the physical readiness program for the US Navy's entire 7th Fleet for the past 10 years. So, I can help with pretty much anything fitness or nutrition related... If you need it.

But my passion is business. I love everything about it... Especially it's ability to push boundaries and comfort zones. I've discovered business to be one of the greatest tools for self discovery and personal growth.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Yes. Possibly. It's my brothers house so I have to ask for his permission. But please do ask if you're in the area!
