ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Brent. I was born and raised in the Midwest. I'm half Dutch and half Finnish. I have not seen nearly enough of this world or this country. I decided to change that a couple months ago and move across the country to San Diego. I'm taking a big leap and hoping my parachute opens on the way down. I plan to travel to every continent in my lifetime, except Antarctica I hate being cold!

I'm not shy, but I am somewhat reserved. I enjoy listening to people and learning new things. I only have a few acquaintances in San Diego and hope to meet some interesting friends. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I heard about this website this summer and really want to try my hand at it. I'm currently looking to couch surf and definitely want to be a host once I have my own place.

Movies: My favorite is Kill Bill. I also love a good documentary and horror movies (even the cheesy ones)!

Books: The last couple years I've gotten into non-fiction. I recently read "Nothing to Envy" and "The Worldly Philosophers", both are excellent reads.

I had the privilege of shadowing a forensic pathologist for a few weeks and got to observe several autopsies. It was a very eye opening and humbling experience.
