ABOUT ME

I am always interested in trying new things and having new experiences, whether it's exploring a park or learning a new skill. I'm genuine and a fairly easy going soul, and I pride myself on my sincerity, compassion, and enthusiasm. I have a good sense of humor and creativity and always try to bring these traits into whatever activity I do, whether its coming up with solutions to problems at work or cracking jokes at my own expense.

PHILOSOPHY

You only live once...sometimes, you gotta force yourself out of your comfort zone. Life is about experiences, and regardless of the outcome, you have a great story to tell from it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had several friends that have hosted individuals travelling, and joined up to show them again during outings. I just joined so I'm hoping I can host one day myself!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met several friends who host quite frequently and have met a few awesome individuals in the meantime. I'm hoping I can replicate this in my travels, and ultimately have people stay at my place as well

Interests

I'm pretty much up for anything. I love riding my bike, whether it's just around the neighborhood or an organized trail ride. I also like to run, and like that I can pretty much find a 5K anywhere, which also gives me an excuse to get out and explore a nearby place that I might otherwise never head out too. I'm a big kid overall... I love movies, I still play with Legos, and I like to stay creative and dabble in photography.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything with a good story peaks my interest, whether a book, movie or conversation.Magazines like Runner's World and Discover. I've read the Harry Potter books and am starting the "Hunger Games" series, but "To Kill A Mockingbird" is my favorite. I'll grab Uncle Johns bathoom reader or Edgar Allen Poe for short stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking around a volcano in Hawaii and seeing the landscape change from a barren wasteland to a rainforest was pretty amazing, especially when you can stand with the sun behind you and gaze down upon the trees, and your shadow has a rainbow "halo" around it. Kayaking at Mulford sound in New Zealand was also pretty cool... there's nothing like being dwarfed next to natural structures which were there before you, and will still be there when you're gone.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything with a good story peaks my interest, whether a book, movie or conversation. I try to be creative through drawing, stained glass, or photography. I like running, bike riding, racquetball, but even board games like Cranium are fun!
