Overview
About Me
My name is Bret (pronouns they/them/their). My partner Jaime and I like to travel, meet new people, play Irish music, and eat good food. We make and cherish sacred moments. Life's too short, so we prefer to be kind, be mindful, and make the most of it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to meet new people when traveling for music, conferences, or otherwise. Traveling with CS has been awesome. In the summer of 2010 I took a long solo road trip, couch surfing up the eastern coast and into Canada. Since that time I have been a major proponent of couch surfing.
Interests
I am interested in many, many things. But mostly I'm interested in sharing stories and music, and talking about life's experiences with the people I meet.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love performing, talking to people about their favorite media, music, and sharing experiences. I'm involved in many different music projects so it's difficult to note specific favorites. I play a lot of instruments, but mostly play button accordion, bodhrán, bouzouki, and whistles.
I love films, and I love a good story, so in addition to talking to people I read a lot and watch a lot of movies. My go-to genres are usually post-apocalyptic character studies, ethnographies, and other various fiction, sci fi, fantasy, and cyberpunk. I also enjoy comics and RPGs.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I authored my own series of tabletop roleplaying games. I mean, I think that's amazing, but am aware that's a relative framework.
