About Me

I enjoy the simple pleasures of life. I Don't take things too seriously and I strive to be minimalist and sustainable in how I live my daily life.

Born in Brisbane I've lived the majority of my life near Ipswich about 35km west of the Brisbane CBD. As far as domestic travel goes I've been to Cairns, Melbourne and pretty much everywhere in between along the east coast plus Darwin.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Some recent solo travel throughout South East Asia really opened my eyes up to how other culture's live and just how much we can learn from people of a different background to what we are used to in our own lives. I'd love the opportunity to meet with people from other countries to learn about their culture, language and way of life. Also when I next decide to travel abroad I hope to better use the CS platform to connect with people in the places I visit.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: U2, Billy Idol, INXS, Alecia Keys, Michael Jackson, Bee Gees, Pink, Fleetwood Mac

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked away relatively unscathed from a car accident where the van I was driving rolled four times across the highway at a speed of 110 km/hr landing on it's roof.

Teach, Learn, Share

Conversation if anyone wants to practice their English speaking. If I can pick up a bit of another language in the process that would be a bonus. I could probably do with an excuse to get out and see more of my own area. So I'd be happy to drive visitors around to see places or do things that I'm also interested in as I realise it can be daunting finding the best way to get around a new destination.
