About Me

Hi! I’m a freelance writer and editor from Seattle currently traveling the world for a year (and maybe even longer). I quit my full-time job in January and set out for Southeast Asia; after four months in Asia, I’m aiming to spend the second half of 2018 in Europe.

Beyond travel, my favorite things are good food, good drinks, music, reading, writing, and meeting cool people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Three reasons: First, I love making friends around the world, and Couchsurfing is a great way to do it! Second, I think learning from a local is the best way to get acquainted with new places. Third, I’m currently traveling indefinitely, so I’m hoping to stretch my budget as far as possible along the way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For spring break my freshman year of college, my roommate and I biked the California coast from San Francisco to San Diego. I’d never road biked before, but I bought a bike for the trip and we planned and did the entire thing ourselves—nearly 600 miles in under two weeks!
