Australian guy traveling through the states on my motorbike to see the places and meet the people of the US. I have now ridden through 40 states over the last 3 months and my trip is sadly nearing the end. I am working my way up the west coast (as slowly as possible) back into Canada for another winter season in the mountains.

My experiences so far with the people of Canada and America have been astonishing. I've met some of the most incredible people through these travels and I'd love to keep this streak going.
Most of my trip through America has been camping in national forests or campgrounds. Unfortunately, camping near major cities or tourist hotspots is insanely expensive or booked up well in advance.
I try my luck on couchsurfing for the possibility of crashing on someone's couch or floor, as well as the opportunity to hopefully make some more friends. I've had some of the best experiences in cities that I've visited all because of the hospitality of the host or friend that has welcomed me.
Regardless if you accept or decline, you're an absolute legend for being a couchsurfing host. Take it easy.
