ABOUT ME

Hi, we are Brett and Heather! A young married couple born and raised in California who love meeting new people, going on adventures, and making new friends! In addition, we have a beautiful baby girl named Isabella who will be 1 year old this June! We are excited to travel Europe this Summer (2014) with little Izzy and show her this amazing world.

We love to travel! We've been to Europe twice (Summer 2011 and Summer 2012) and we are about to embark on our most exciting trip yet - our first trip with our one year old daughter! This summer we are visiting more of western Europe, including Italy, France, England, and Ireland. Other than that, most of our travels have been fairly close to the U.S., but we are very excited to continue seeing sights and meeting people from other parts of the world.

I (Heather) am a wedding photographer based out of California. Brett helps with the business and is a full time high school teacher of Social Studies (Geography, specifically). We both love what we do and absolutely love life.

We currently are not able to host, but we would love to meet you and show you around if you are ever in San Diego! There is so much to do and see here, and we would love to show you our favorite spots!

We love Couchsurfing! We are so excited to continue to be a part of this community, and we believe that this is the best way to see the world. We can't wait to one day host surfers of our own.

We love comedies, romance, and a few good thrillers.

We both have a BIG love for music. Brett is a musician. He minored in music in college and can play the guitar and piano. We have a wide taste in music and like most anything.

Brett is the English teacher but I (Heather) tend to be more of the reader:) I enjoy reading biographies and some fiction. I get in more trouble at the book store than the clothes store!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Twice we have had the opportunity to explore/backpack western Europe and the Middle East! On our first trip, we visited England, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, and Greece, all in the span of 4 short weeks. On our second trip, we visited several of these same countries, as well as Switzerland, Egypt, Jordan, and Israel. In addition, Brett has visited Beijing, China, once.

One of the most amazing things we have done was hike 16 miles (round trip) to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park (in California). Yosemite is one of our favorite places in California and we can't wait to go back.

Another amazing thing we did two summers ago was watch the sunrise from the top of the Haleakala Volcano on Maui, Hawaii. It was one of the most breathtaking and beautiful sights either of us have ever seen.

Brett also had the opportunity to walk along the Great Wall of China last November, which is an experience that simply cannot be described.

We are both photographers! We would be happy to share what we know about photography with our wonderful hosts or any fellow surfers who pass through San Diego.

Brett also loves music and plays a few instruments. He would love to share anything he knows with you!
