I both surf and host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent 3 months in Australia where I WWOOFed at lots of big and small farms and in every situation was taken in to live "as family" while I stayed and worked at the farm. This made my experience much richer than staying exclusively at the hostels. I've also lived at coop houses and given and received hitchhiking rides. I did an unsupported bicycle tour of the Great Ocean Road that follows the southern Australia coastline between Melbourne and Adelaide. Along the way I met some great poeple who had me camp in their yard and visit over dinner. Some of my memories of them are more powerful now than the spectacular views and scenery of ride itself.

Interests

Jumping into untreated water (preferably off rocks or a diving board), skateboarding, building stuff, making stuff, fixing stuff, gardening, climbing trees, planting trees, hoolahooping, disc golf, teaching kids fun stuff, cooking and eating local, fresh foods, local music, simplicity, consuming less, living more, waterfalls, glaciers, springs, long summer days.
