About Me
Helloooooo! So my name is Brett, but you may also call me Boots! (Or Botas, Stiefel, Larsen, or whatever Boots translates to in your preferred language.) It’s a nickname, and I cherish it.
I am an expat living in Amsterdam. I like learning languages, going on bike rides, cooking, and playing board games (especially chess and catan). Also not sure if you’ve ever heard of it but I love this thing called “food.” It is delicious and I often eat too much of it.
I’ve stopped hosting in Amsterdam for now. But! If you’re in town and want to hang out, feel free to message me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once did a stand-up comedy set in the nude. I thought it’d help me get over my stage fright. It didn’t.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you basic bike maintenance, how to set up a website (why not?!), an extremely spicy Mexican salsa recipe, or how to write code (if you’re into that).
I like hearing people talk about the things they're really passionate about. Even if you get really excited about something I've never heard of, my ears are here to hear.
At any given moment, I may be studying French, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, or German! Will buy you brunch/lunch/dinner in exchange for speaking practice 🤸🏻
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook and help around the house. I can tell stories. And I can bring cheese and stroopwafels from Holland!
