ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Brett. I'm a typical art kid, I like showing emotion through any means appropriate. My main two art forms are; photography, of which my favourite type is landscape, but I also shoot concerts and festivals. shooting concerts and festivals ties in wonderfully with my second main art form; music, of which I play and write guitar, keys and vocals. I don't really have a favourite particular style of music, but I suppose I listen mostly to anything you can call rock. Some of my favourite bands would be Sigur Ros, Thrice, Foo Fighters, Jack's Mannequin, Circa Survive, Fightstar, The Dangerous Summer, Periphery, The Streets, Coldplay, etc.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm an athiest, but I don't mind others religious beliefs, each to their own. I just think that people should do what they think is right at the time, as thats all we can do. When you're wrong, you learn something, and when you're right, you teach something. As long as people strive for a positive outcome, there will usually be one. Live looking at whats in front of you, and go out and do something!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have already met some wonderful people in Europe through another CouchSurfing account in a group of people, and through friends. I love the idea of hosting and making new friends, there is really no downsides with this online community. Once I get home to Australia I will try to host some people to return the favour of me surfing through Europe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been hosted by CouchSurfers through connections with friends before I joined, they introduced CouchSurfing to me and I have since CouchSurfed in a couple of places in northern Europe. I have never had a negative experience and all hosts have been lovely people.

Interests

Arts, on top of music and photography I love anime/manga. Some favourites are works by Key (Clannad, Air, Kanon) and Makoto Shinkai (5 Centimetres Per Second, The Place Promised In our Early Days, Voices Of A Distant Star).
