About Me

CURRENT MISSION

On my last trip, I completed my life's love story by finally getting together with the girl I've dreamed of being with for 9 years. I just want to make her happy.

ABOUT ME

I'm a passionate sports fan, and must admit I enjoy my drink. I probably talk a bit too much, and there isn't much about me that I wouldn't tell to just about anyone because I enjoy conversation. My heart's so thoroughly on my sleeve that it actually fell off and drags behind me now.

PHILOSOPHY

Make the people around you happy. If you can do that, it will rub back off on you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just joined and am looking to figure out more about the program. But all things considered, I'm little more than a babe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing but good experiences. Before joining, I had surfed with friends in New Jersey, Portland, and San Diego. Shortly after getting on here, I surfed for a weekend in Boston. Also went to a great CS party while I was out there.

Interests

I love my sports. Marquette basketball, Reading FC (English Championship), the Chicago Cubs, Bulls, and Bears are my teams. I've also earned my proper geek cred in that I grew up on Dungeons & Dragons, still read comic books, and am a moderator on a video game website (PESFan.com).

Music, Movies, and Books

Huge Will Ferrell fan. Anchorman is the greatest movie ever. My musical tastes are very eclectic. My MP3 player has punk, hardcore, country, rap, folk, and good old 80s cock rock. Most of what I read now are comic books, but I enjoy the occasional offbeat novel every now and then as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After falling in love with a girl in 1999, I sat back while she married another man and had a kid. When it fell apart, I flew 1,200 miles to meet her in Boston at a Dropkick Murphys show only for it all to fall apart when she couldn't make it up. Rather than get discouraged, I rented a car, drove to New Jersey, and threw myself on the altar of love. Two weeks later, she moved to Milwaukee with me, and now I'm just doing everything I can to make sure that she's the one I spend the rest of my life with.

Teach, Learn, Share

Sew with waxed dental floss. It's durable and easy to thread with. Even if you have no sewing skills, a simple Bic lighter will allow you to burn the ends so that your patchwork stays in place.
