Hello,
I am Ben, I am 27 years old and I travel a lot. I rock climb, hike, bike and backpack wherever I can.
I worked at a rock climbing gym in NYC for several years, and now I am traveling the world in hopes to learn as many other languages as possible. Currently I am putting a lot of effort into German.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I usually use Workaway and woofing, but I will on occasion need a place to stay for a few days.
I hope to see cities from less of a tourist perspective. I have been traveling a while, and have realized that there is no better way to see a place than from the perspective of the locals.
So I hope to meet some cool people, even if they can't hang, at least get a good feel for whats around in every city I see.

Interests

I am a very outdoorsy person, I specifically LOVE rock climbing and surfing.
I also read a lot, study languages, bike, skateboard and hike.

I enjoy a good conversation, and most of all I love to travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy listening to american folk music, like shakey graves and alabam shakes.
I also like some EDM music, and pop like Stars or Years and Years

I read a lot of science fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I built a rock climbing wall in my old apartment, got bored of it, so tore it down and made it a skateboarding half pipe.

OH OH!! In that same Vein, I built a teardrop trailer and lived in it for 6 months with my fiance, while we traveled around the United States.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to show friends how to rock climb, and share my knowledge of the outdoors.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a decent cook and I have a lot of repair and carpentry skills, if needed.
Also I'm very good at teaching English, if a host would like.
