About Me
I just finished university in June of 2016 and have spent the past 8 months working in an Elementary school with English Language Learners. I am super passionate about education and bringing language and love to the kids in my community who are recent immigrants or have immigrant parents. I am currently applying to a teaching program to earn my Master's and teaching certificate. I am also looking to spend some time traveling and (hopefully) teaching English abroad at the same time!
I am super passionate about traveling, languages, experiencing new cultures, eating new foods, music, dancing, animals, and making new friends! I spend most of my free time outside, reading, coloring, watching New Girl, trying new wines/beers and planning future trips!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing to hopefully meet new travelers as well as find people to help host me as I try to travel on a low-budget (because we all know how well teachers are paid :P).
Music, Movies, and Books
Anything Reggaeton that I can dance my heart out to (basically any latin music). I'm also really into folk and indie music. Some of my favorite artists/groups are: #TocoParaVos, Calle 13, Plan B, Caloncho, Sie7e, Alt-J, Junius Meyvant, The Staves, and Gregory Alan Isakov.
I'm not a big movie person (I tend to fall asleep everytime I put one on for some reason) but I do love anything Netflix. My go-tos are New Girl, How I Met Your Mother, Archer, and Parks and Rec.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked the W in Patagonia Chile in 2016! I was constantly in awe every step of the way and met some amazing people on all different paths of life with different reasons for why they were doing the trek.
