I'm Brian, and I have two dreams

My first dream is to see the world, I've lived in the England, Ireland, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Russia, Italy and most recently Ioannina in northern Greece. I love meeting new people, laughing with them and listening to their stories.

My second dream is to help make that world a better place.

I am an adventurer. I have climbed peaks on the edge of the world blanketed with snow, driven through a minefield, and crossed the emptiness of the steppe. I have paddled stormy seas while seals popped up around me, and cowered in the middle of a Central Asian thunderstorm. Last summer I walked the Camino Frances in Spain, hiking nearly 800km through high mountains, wide open plains and bustling cities. Stories like these are important to me, because they give my life a richness it otherwise wouldn't have, and give me the feeling that my life is one worth living.

But there are no stories without people, and none of these stories would be the same without the friendly strangers who I met along the way who helped me experience their home through their eyes and, I hope, leave that place having made a friend for life. That's why I'm on Couchsurfing.

I really like fantasy literature. I love being able to step into worlds that came from someone else's imagination, and experiencing these new realities.

In terms of music I like everything that has good lyrics.

I can teach English, Italian and Russian. I dance Cuban salsa, so I can also teach that.
