About Me

I'm studying art and graphic design in New York State, but I'm currently studying abroad in Florence. I love just about anything artistic (especially movies), dogs, and pear juice. I'm currently trying to understand and use Ableton (a music production software), but I've played guitar for about 8 years, so I really love music.

I've worked as a food server, camp counselor, school mascot, security guard, skill instructor, and one time I got paid $1200 for making a powerpoint for some upcoming rejuvenation firm in New Jersey. And yet, I don't really know what I want to do with my major so I'm just sort of moving along with what I know right now.

I love talking about bad relationships and religion, but I'm agnostic if that matters to anyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Trying to collect bottle caps from as many cities and towns in Europe as I can before I go back to America. I'm signing up now because I'm about to hit 6 or 7 countries for my spring break by myself and I'd love to meet new people along the way, even if it's just for a day or a drink or something.

Don't really know how reliable this website is yet since I got tricked into paying $60 for the membership fee only two days ago. I can't be sure about hosting anybody in Florence right now because I'm a study abroad student sharing an apartment with four other guys who may or may not care about having strangers all the time. So basically I guess the reason I'm on Couchsurfing is because I didn't know I was about to pay a fee until it happened, and after I did I figured I should just take advantage of this if I can. yayyyyy

^^^ if this looks like a mess, it’s supposed to be a ^^^
^^^music note on your computer 😅 lol whoops^^^

In summary, I like a number of subgenres of electronic music and a lot of indie/folk/alternative bands.
My favorite songs vary a lot, but I like to listen to artist and genre radios on lo-fi, electro-swing, jazz, hip-hop, and some other things depending on my mood.

(I was going to make a thing for all my favorite movies but I've lost time and patience for now)
Favorite movies: Her, La La Land, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, 10 CloverField Lane, Airplane
- mostly anything that I think is original in some way

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in my sophomore year of high school, I had to raise $2700 for charity/my plane ticket to Israel in order to register for a half marathon. My family did most of the help even though were mainly middle-class folk, and I got to run a half marathon in Jerusalem.

Teach, Learn, Share

Never go to Switzerland with less than 300 euros, regardless of how long you're staying there.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Alcohol, stories from high school, my taste in music (though not everybody will love it), the mistakes of being raised in a Jewish community, how to mother an alcoholic when you're also pretty far gone, and my loud sense of humor.

Honestly though, I'd love to get dinner with my hosts and get them a small gift as thanks. Not a guarantee, but if we're having a good time, I'll want them to remember it :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Haiti, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Poland, Slovakia, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Italy, United States
