About Me

I'm on the search to expand my mind, to understand people and the world around me better and what better way to do that then to travel all over. My personal philosophy and what I think the key to happiness is, is freeing yourself from your mind and live in the present. To live with as few of possessions as possible and to have empathy for all sentient beings.

It's been over 3 years now since I quit my job in the U.S. and started traveling, hitchhiking and free camping all over the world; finding whatever work is available along the way and learning more than i could have imagined. I am incredibly lucky to be were I am, living my dream everyday. I wouldn't trade it for anything else. it's the beautiful people I meet that keep me going, that keep me moving. that and to eat as much delicious food as possible (India, Malaysia and Thailand, I am looking at you).

I am not very good at planning so i apologise in advance if my request comes in a day or two before arrival but don't take it personal, I am not just looking for a free night to stay but to make a connection and to have some good times!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to gain knowledge of places that only locals would know of as well as to meet locals and gain their perspective of where they live. To feel new things and to meet people with similar and complete different views than me. and of course to make a new friend :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

pass

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about hitchhiking and about how to travel and live cheaply. To disspell the notion that travelling has to be expensive. I am by no means a chef but i can teach what I know in the kitchen. Also I have a decent size collection of useless trivia information in my head that you are welcome to.

I love learning and I am hoping to one day be a wise person with a super long grey beard (Gandalf style!)

I am a big fan of sharing food or whatever I have to offer, good energy and definitly some fun and laughs

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have been playing the guitar, ukulele and didgeridoo for a while and can give some beginner lessons. love to cook and just really listen to what someone has to say and learn their story.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Egypt, Fiji, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Netherlands, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
