Hello!

I am originally from Chicago, IL (USA). I love to travel and have currently started an 8 month adventure in Australia. Before beginning my current adventure I was a pediatric occupational therapist for a little more than two years. While I loved what I did, I decided to take some time off to embark on this once in a lifetime experience.
I enjoy seeing everything that a city/country has to offer from its architecture, food, wildlife, unique culture, and people. I have travelled throughout the US as well as backpacking through Europe for 3 weeks (Spain, Italy, France, and Austria). I have also travelled to Honduras as part of a medical mission trip.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to Couchsurfing but have had many friends and fellow travelers who have had very positive experiences with it. What better way to learn about a place than to live with a local and get all the insider information!

Interests

I love being active. Its hard for me to sit still, especially when traveling, so you will very rarely find me sitting at home when there is a whole new place to explore! -

Music, Movies, and Books

I could go on forever about my favorite movies. It takes a really bad movie for me to truly say I didn't enjoy at least some aspects of it.

All time favorite books would have to be the Harry Potter series. I grew up vicariously through Harry- how could they not be?!

I enjoy most music and I am open to hearing all types of music.....besides heavy metal and country western which are not two of my particularly favorite genres.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As part of a medical mission trip to Honduras I was able to work alongside a team of doctors and dentists to provide free healthcare services for over 1,000 Hondurans who would normally have no access to similar care.
