I'm a pretty active guy. I been doing a lot of home renovation projects in the last year, but more typically I'd be out mountaineering, rock climbing, camping or working-out on my weekends.

I have a wonderful girlfriend that hangs out with me most weekends. And two cats that are starved for attention.

Update 5-2018 - I'm still recovering knee replacement surgery later last September, but getting back to hiking and climbing slowly.

I've climbed 75 fourteen thousand foot mountains, the tallest peaks in the continental US. I've run well over 30,000 miles. Until I was in my mid thirties I could run a 10k in under 40 minutes. I raised three great kids. I've done day hikes with more that 11,000 feet of gain twice.

House Rules
- Please be neat and clean up after yourself.
- Please squeegee down the shower after you bathe.
- Please strip the bed and put the sheets, and your used towels in the laundry basket when you leave.
- Please be quite after 10. I probably will be getting up early the next day.
- Please spend some time with me. Share a drink or meal with me, tell me your story, and regale me tales of your adventures.
- Please help yourself to anything in the kitchen or refrigerator, but if you use the last of anything let me know ( I may have more stored away,) and be prepared to replace it.
- Please feel free to cook for me and help out around the house.
- Please understand that I do not host surfers for more that a few days. If you need to stay for more that I may be able to rent you a room.
- Please fill-out your CS profile, find CS friends, have references from other hosts, post lots of pictures and give me some sort of reason to want to host you before you send your request.
