Before my son was born, I was supposed to go on a trip around the world which I have put off for many years now in order to raise him. Now that he is 12 years old and I have some help from friends. I am looking to travel more both with him and on my own. My son and I wish to leave the US by the time that he is through with high school and these next few years we aim to travel and to see if we can find a place which feels less vapid than the US.
*Note: I will begin accepting guests within the next year or two after we have finished construction on my home.

I want to go to another country and experience it the way that the natives do. I do wish to see some of the touristy things but more so I want to understand the culture. Most of my life I have felt like an alien and an outsider and I dream of finding a corner of the world in which I feel at home.
