ABOUT ME
Studying a Masters of Arts in International Affairs at Carleton University. Huge fan of fitness and I am always at the gym or doing something active.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would like to meet people from all over and also explore different places. The travel bug just never escapes me and would couch surfing is a great way to make new friends around the world. Plus, it's really a great way to exchange cultures and get to know someone of a different background.
Interests
I am a big fan of fitness. Usually, I head to the gym to train and perform cardio and weights. As for sports, winter sports are a huge favourite of mine. I enjoy both downhill and cross country skiing. When it's summer time, I enjoy playing soccer (or football as it's called outside of north America) or ultimate frisbee with a few friends. Overall, I like social activities and interacting with other people.
One of my biggest obsessions is relaxing in a sauna. That's why I love Finland for this reason! It's such a great place to be at ease and improve your health. Furthermore, I like cooking with friends and having grill parties at the local park when the weather is nice.

Music, Movies, and Books
My top 3 genres are Heavy Metal, Electronic Dance Music (EDM), and Indie music. My dream is to attend Wacken and rock out. I have already attended two huge music festivals in Helsinki: Weekend and Flow. The Weekend festival was an EDM event and it was a great experience. Flow was an indie music festival and it was by far my most favourite one. I had the opportunity to see such bands as Pet Shop Boys, Major Lazer, Belle & Sebastien, and CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers.
When it comes to films, I generally like watching historical ones. These include Braveheart, The Last Samurai, and Letters From Iwo Jima. I do enjoy watching a few comedy flicks and my favourite ones in this genre are The Dictator, Borat, and Meet the Parents.
My favourite books usually belong to the dystopian genre, so Brave New World, 1984, and Fahrenheit 451. Some non-fictional material is also on my top list like A House in the Sky and Anthony Robbin's Awaken the Giant Within.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent one full year in Freiburg, Germany in 2011-2012 for a student exchange. I was able to meet so many people of different backgrounds. I now have friends from Sweden, The Netherlands, Italy, Finland, and Bulgaria. Moreover the superb location of the town made it even more enjoyable. It was located near the Black Forest region so there were many opportunities to go hiking and observe the beautiful landscape characterized by rolling hills and dense forests.
