Overview
About Me
Musical, inquisitive, adventurous, and motivated. Oh, and tall.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm traveling Europe for a few weeks before I start grad school in England. I'd love to explore some great places, meet some new people.
Interests
Music (I'm a classical singer & conductor, but love all different genres), hiking, swimming, boating, exploring new places. I'm a big foodie and love to try new things!
Music, Movies, and Books
A Midsummer Night's Dream (Hamlet Shmamlet, he's whiny - and I'll take Harold Bloom to the mat on that one), His Dark Materials, Lolita, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, and anything by Robert Frost (I feel like I grew up in one of his poems). Also, Calvin and Hobbes.
I listen to a lot of classical music and a little bit of everything else, too, with a strong preference for artists who demonstrate a high degree of musical skill within their genres. I also love discovering new music, so feel free to make suggestions! Current obsessions include Stephen Layton, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Gerald Finley, and Punch Brothers.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Shark cage diving in prime Great White season off Cape Town, South Africa. Also, we got locked in a national park that night... Ask me to tell you the story when we meet.
What I Can Share with Hosts
While I'm not a fantastic cook, I'm happy to buy dinner ingredients and play sous-chef, or take us out for a drink or three...
