About Me

A soon to be graduating student (or at least I hope), who, like most, doesn't have a clue what he wants to do once the time comes! A friend and I are travelling from Ireland to Santa Cruz on a work and travel visa for the summer to hopefully help us figure that out. I'm an all round easy going guy who enjoys new experiences cultures and seeing the different viewpoints that we all hold. Also being Irish were not immune to an oul pint or two!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hoping to locate in Santa Cruz for the summer, the dream is to truly learn to surf!
However our accommodation is not available yet and even motels are stretching our budget so a friend and I are looking for somewhere to crash for a few days!

Interests

I enjoy the outdoors and sports, namely football, (or soccer to you guys) as well as Gaelic football. I like music but my instrument prowess doesn't get much further than some karaoke. Also, not that it needs saying, but I love to travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

All sorts of music really from rock and indie to some techno, more the atmospheric techno rather than that over intense drum ad base style! Some artists i like listening to would be the National, Mogwai, the black keys, Bonobo, Foals, LCD soundsytem, Interpol, currently listening to a guy called George Fitzgerald! Not a huge film buff, but i suppose Fightclub would be my favorite film, whilst TV series would be a toss up between breaking bad or madmen. My book reading has dwindled over the years, but my favorite book was probably naughts and crosses, currently reading The girl with the dragon tattoo to pass the time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once managed to do the wrong exam and didn't realise until the end...but still passed!
