About Me

I'm, usually, a really easy going person who enjoys great company. Like others, I have preferences and certain interests, however, I rarely discriminate when it comes to new experiences and activities; especially when it's during travel and sharing the first time experience with newly made friends.

I enjoy conversations with like minded people; however, I believe it's important to engage, amicably, with others who have opposing views; it's one of the best ways to understand, or, at the very least, try to understand why others have such different, sometimes , extremely different perspectives from ourselves.

I like to stay active and tend to be attracted to activities that have an adequate dose of adrenaline , gets the blood pumping and the sweat glands working. By my culinary experiences and by association with my close friends, I could be defined as a "Foodie"; I find that food is a great gateway to learning other cultures and as long as I'm not allergic to what I'm eating (nothing that I know of yet...) I'm down to eat it :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a late bloomer when it comes to traveling... in that regard I've been a typical U.S. Citizen who has made every excuse in the book to postpone traveling and work on my career. That changed in 2014 when I reconnected with a friend, who turned into a girlfriend... and now happens to be my fiance... She's a globe trotter; she introduced me to the wonderful community of Couchsurfing.

I've learned through my short time traveling and minimal travel experiences that the best way and really learn about the place your traveling to is to befriend a local, and if your are so fortunate, to learn about them as a person, their life the place your visiting and listen to their valuable advice and recommendations about the area.

Couchsurfing is a community that allows you to do just that (more often than not).
