Overview
About Me
Recently finished medical school and am applying to residencies. They start in July, so I have time to travel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Honestly why I'm on Couchsurfing is to see the expansive world (or parts of it) with a pretty rigid budget. Ya dig?
Interests
Always up for sports. As a kid and up to and through college I was competitive in hockey. The college part was men's league which doesn't really count. But I did play recreationaly: tennis, golf, baseball (lots of baseball) and basketball. In college I took up rugby, joined the college club team and played for four years. Now my knees crack every morning.
Sit down activities take up lots of my time too. Probably a greater share now. Reading, bit of writing bad poems, video games. Being on the ranch though I've done a ton of hiking, swimming, horse riding, and building fence (so much fence).

Music, Movies, and Books
Lately Ive been listening to a lot of Griz and Big Gigantic but I also like rap/hip-hop, folk, old-timey stuff. Really just anything. . For books I like novels. I've been trying to read classics recently. Powered through Moby Dick and now working of some Dostoevsky but I'm really not as dry as those books. J.D. Salinger, just read some of his short stories but never did get to Catcher In The Rye. Most recently I've been reading some American philosophy by like the O.G's of this curfuffled country. People like Emerson, Ben Frankin, Fredrick Douglas are contained. And the Federalist Papers are there too. Also, I read a lot of news articles about serious stuff and not so serious stuff. This and that you know?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Took on the giant suck-hole in Newcastle AUS and didn't tell my mom about it until I got home.
