About Me

My wife and I quit our day jobs in Health Care and Finance to explore the world for a couple of years! We're in the beginnings of a travel blog, so watch out for it!

I grew up not traveling much, and never made it off the North American continent till I was out of college and could afford it. After my first trip to Paris and Barcelona, I couldn't get away from the travel bug. I love meeting people from different cultures and trying to understand their way of life. I prefer to spend more time in one place getting to know a few friends and a town rather than checking off as many new countries as possible.

I've met some great friends through AirBnB in a number of countries, and finally people led me here.

Since, we are digital nomads for now, we can't host people for the time being, but we hope to spread the love once we settle down again next year!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love AirBnb and other apps, but couchsurfing provides a nice balance of AirBnb with the social setting of a hostel. Meeting new people, trying their food, and laughing with them is the reason I travel. Checking off the list of obligatory pictures next to monuments is nice, but I want to meet people.

We love to get immersed in a culture and spend more time in one place! We spent 6 weeks in China, 5 in Italy, 4 in Slovenia/Croatia. Meeting a fun host pulls us into the life of a local!
