Overview
About Me
I'm a software developer living in Toronto, Canada. I grew up in rural Ontario, Canada and have had a taste of the simple life. As well, I went to University, and currently live, in the biggest city in Canada, Toronto. I feel I have had a taste of both worlds, so I'd definitely have a lot to talk about.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had never travelled by myself before in unknown countries until recently. As a result, I was pretty closed minded. However, during my recent 2-month trip through Europe, I met new people from all walks of life. Suddenly, meeting random people and sharing good times seemed didn't seem so bad :).
Interests
I absolutely love to cook, and explore foods from around the globe. Everywhere I eat, I make sure to try and take a flavour with me so I can incorporate it into my own meals.
My passion as well as my work is in technology. I am motivated by the idea of building something from the ground up and showing it to the world to make everyones' lives a little better. That being said, new gadgets that I can take apart and tinker with are always on my radar.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I listen to all kinds of music - Country to rap, jazz to metal.
Movies:
Forrest Gump - #1 all-time best movie. I'm sorry if you think otherwise, but you're wrong!
Anything from Christopher Nolan. The man is a genius, especially if he has Hans Zimmer doing the music (Inception, Interstellar, Batman, ...)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
... working on accumulating more. Not sure what fits
- Dining in Gordon Ramsay's restaurant in London. Does that count?
- Have run up the CN Tower in Toronto ... 4 times
Teach, Learn, Share
Working in the IT industry, I can teach people about my experience using technology to make your trip easier and smoother, without interferring with the experience itself. This could include mobile devices (maps, audio guides, etc...), or hostel booking without being gouged for money.
I love cooking, so I can do wonders on a budget with a small little kitchen and a trip to the grocery store.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, England, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, United States, Vatican City State
