The most important things to know about me are that (1) I am very funny and (2) I think I am very funny.

I've loved to travel for a long time now, but the longer I live in New York, the more my travels become about nature and less about city life. The constant, though, has always been about meeting people.

I joined Couchsurfing when I went to travel on my own in Iceland and was met with unbelievable hospitality -- it still seems like the best way to meet cool people and see an area from locals' points of view.

My favorite trip was my first hitchhiking experience, zig-zagging down the west coast of the US with a good friend. It was the first time traveling I really dropped all expectations for a trip and opened up to whatever came; an awesome way to meet cool, generous people and have new, unexpected adventures. It only lasted ten days but we had twenty rides and twenty very different stories.
