About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Live Before I Die

ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small town in WV and never left other than a brief stint on the coast of North Carolina. I have traveled extensively for business but my personal travel has been sorely lacking.

Most of my life has been focused on "being successful" and I have sacrificed a lot in that pursuit. Recently I have decided that that particular path is not working for me and I am actively seeking a new path.

I am very intuitive and a creative problem solver. I am quietly intense. I am confident in myself. I like to have interesting and thoughtful conversations.

PHILOSOPHY

Self-Reliance and Learn from your mistakes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have recently sold a small business that I built from the ground up over a 6 year time period. The experience has left me mentally, physically and spiritually exhausted.

Currently I consider myself "on Sabbatical" while I re-calibrate and figure out what is next for me. Therefore I am looking to do some travel, meet some new people and just go with the flow.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had a fantastic experience of spontaneous couch surfing in Asheville, NC. This occurred at 3:30 AM at an all night diner when my couchsurfing requests had gone unanswered and the hostel was full up. Basically I bummed a french fry from some folks, told them my story and ended up in a spare bedroom. Good times, great memory. **Addendum - There was a 9 month period when I hosted Couch Surfers in a large house where I was living. The people that I met and the times that we had were some of the most enriching times of my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There was a moment in NC when I was working outside at night. When we killed the lights the night sky was as filled with stars as I had ever seen it.

Travelled throughout South America having business meetings and also taking in the local culture!
