ABOUT ME

I travel so that I can try new things and learn more about the world. I'm a cook by trade and I enjoy learning about a place through its food. I savor the opportunity to eat an authentic version of a dish, but also to understand the people, culture, and history that create the food. I studied politics and international relations and I think gastronomy is more closely related to those things than many people think!

I'm interested in art and ideas and history and talking to people about what makes them excited - another way of saying: I'm interested in people, and I think that makes me a good conversationalist.

I'm kind and considerate and responsible. I'm open+minded, curious, critical. I love when my judgments or assumptions are proven wrong.
