About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Impart some of the kindness and hospitality I have recieved in my travels to fellow travellers.

ABOUT ME

Hi I grew up about 20 minutes south of San Francisco, I'm 23 and have just finished my Bachelor's Degree in Political Economy at California State University Monterey Bay. I'm a complete politics/economics and history geek, so hopefully a surfer can tolerate my rants! I' I met some of the greatest people I've met traveling and I'm a firm believer in the kindness and decency of strangers. If you surf with me, I've definitely got your back.

PHILOSOPHY

I live because I like to learn something new everyday and if I died I wouldn't get to do that, so I've decided I shouldn't die. Life is about the people you find to make it worth living!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I love foreign movies, dark comedies, and documentaries especially. The Big Lebowski is my favorite movie. I love all sorts of books. John Steinbeck and Dostoyevsky are two of my favorites authors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the great fortune of going backpacking in the Lofoten Islands( two of my pictures are from there) in the north of Norway for 10 days. It was in June, the sun never set, the surroundings were stark, sparse, forbidding and brooding. I was able to go with 2 of my best friends and it was easily the greatest trip of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can definitely teach people quite a bit about Monterey. I can also take people out rock climbing around here and I'd love to play tour guide. I'd really like to host some foreigners and you could teach me cultural facts( like how to say cheers in your language).
