About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet new people, see new places, revisit old places, encounter new ideas

ABOUT ME

Hi, couch surfers. When I'm not doing research I like to hang out with friends, try new restaurants, go to bars, listen to music/play music on guitar, and - of course - travel when I can.

PHILOSOPHY

Things tend to work themselves out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I consider myself a casual couch surfing user. I tend to keep pretty busy, but when I am traveling or when I am able to host travelers I really like what couch surfing has to offer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Still pretty new to couch surfing but I'm getting there.

Interests

Management, psychology, snowboarding, stock market, playing guitar, cooking, reading, dive bars, cool restaurants

Music, Movies, and Books

Musically, I like a lot of stuff. But my taste is very guitar-centric, e.g. Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer, Doug Raney.

I like to read books that supplement my research interests. Since I study topics like motivation and moral behavior, just about anything about social behavior (human or non-human) is relevant.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is a tough question. I think a lot of things are amazing. Here are a few:
- ordering a cheeseburger that has the cheese perfectly melted and centered on the patty
- jumping out of an airplane at 10,000 feet
- someone calling you just as you happen to be thinking about him/her

It's hard to say which is more amazing...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share with you what it's like growing up in a really small town in upstate New York (population = 2000).

I can teach you about psychology and human behavior.

I would like to learn what it's like living in places I haven't had a chance to visit.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, Fiji, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
