About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life

ABOUT ME

I am traveling through the US looking for a place I will call home after spending the last three years in South Korea.

PHILOSOPHY

Build good habits and relationships. Try to get a little better every day. Discover what I truly love. Be responsible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted a traveler I met in Daegu one night, not knowing he was a couchsurfer. He suggested I join the website.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only had the pleasure of surfing friends' couches. I look forward to meeting new people through the website.

Interests

I like playing music, reading, writing, and good company, especially over a good cup of coffee or otherwise refreshing beverage. In Daegu I also wrote, performed, and coordinated for the Daegu Theatre Troupe, a group of (mostly) foreigners who put on performances for the Daegu community. I like to travel when I can, too.

I've been studying Korean for the last three years and I'm always looking for the chance to practice. 같이 얘기합시다!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm open to experience any kind of art as long as the quality's there. I tend to go through phases. Currently I'm trying to reconnect with my American roots with a lot of heartland rock and folk.

As far as books, I'm always open to recommendations. Right now I'm working my way through some contemporary short story collections and really enjoying it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The bus from Gimahae Int'l into Busan my first time landing in Korea. A hundred red crosses burned red neon into the night sky and I had the distinct feeling of beginning an adventure in a land that wasn't my own.
