About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore new methods of service to my fellow man, in the hopes that together we can change the world.
ABOUT ME
I'm one of those guys who loves to help other people out, whether it's helping an old lady carry her groceries or volunteering at the animal shelter. I've got a pretty good sense of humour; you can tell because I'll be cracking jokes and pulling pranks most of the time. I can be serious at times, but only because something needs to be done and requires my full attention. I was Boy Scout in my high school days, and I strive to live by their ideals every day.
PHILOSOPHY
Nothing in life comes easy, and hard work is the best way to get to where you want to be. Be your own man, and don't let anyone try to change what you know to be true. Three things you should do everyday are laugh, think, and have your emotions moved to tears (thank you Jim Valvano)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Haven't had any yet, hoping to travel and host a traveller or two.
Interests
Currently I'm going into my junior year at the Colorado School of Mines, studying mechanical engineering. I'm also working part-time as a handyman. I really like doing stuff with my hands, and it teaches you a lot about how to take care of yourself and a lot of challenges you may face. I've travelled a few close places before and I really love the immersion into culture that I get, and I want to experience more of that. When I'm not studying or working, I'll usually be reading or volunteering somewhere.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a sucker for romantic comedies, but I'll watch just about anything. My musical tastes are a bit outdated, I prefer southern rock, classic rock, and hard rock, but I also like country, electro, folk, indie, pop, rap, pretty much anything besides opera. As far as books go, Clive Cussler is my favourite author, but I also like science fiction, fantasy with magic, and the classics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One moment that particularly stands out was hiking to the top of a mountain and watching the sunrise at 12,000 feet with a bunch of my close friends. Definitely something I will never forget.
Another amazing moment was zip lining 300 over the Costa Rican jungle, with my hand as the only brake. You could see nothing but green below you, and nothing but blue above, as you were hurtling at breakneck speed down the line. It was both beautiful and terrifying at the same time.
