About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Do it all and see it all before I die

ABOUT ME

I'm probably the most easy going guy in the world and I love meeting new people from all over.

I am happy in almost any situation...even if it is a bad one I look at it as, "well, at least this will be a funny story to tell one day." I love people. I love sports. I love music. And I always love a game of backgammon.

I grew up in Seattle, USA. Went to university in Portland, Oregon. Lived in Abingdon, Virginia for 6 months before moving to Aix-en-Provence, France where I have been living for a 4 years.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe everyone has an interesting story, no matter what they've done in life and I like hearing those stories.

I think many of the problems in this world are caused by ignorance and lack of knowledge of other cultures. I think meeting people from around the world can help decrease that ignorance and make the world a better place!

I'm still trying to figure out my role in this world so I'm trying many different things to see what I like and what I don't like.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I show people the wonders of Aix! I also spread the word about Couchsurfing to anyone that is willing to listen and even those that aren't because I think it is such a great idea.

Pour les fracophones sur CS, je fais les traductions. Si vous voulez un peu d'aide avec votre profil, n'hésitez pas à me contacter. Je m'occuperai de votre profil avec plaisir.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had my first couchsurfing trip in August 2007. Did a two week bike tour of Provence, France couchsurfing for 2-3 nights at various little villages along the way. It is one of my best memories and I met some of the most amazing people along the way. Now just been CSing here and there and meeting even more people along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I listen to anything and everything...except country (sorry Texas, I just can't bring myself to like it).

Movies: Favorite has to be usual suspects. I wish I could erase it from my memory and watch it all over again.

Books: I prefer reading the newspaper and other political things like newsweek, the economist, le courrier international...I'm kind of a dork like that.

TV: The Office...it's simply the best.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw 10 guys giving a horse CPR at a rodeo in rural Idaho.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Guadeloupe, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, United States
