About Me
we love: all things outdoors, particularly biking, hiking, running, kayaking, and picnics; building things; sitting around reading and drinking whisky; cooking and eating delicious food
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We are a couple exploring the US in a converted 30' school bus! We're looking for places in the South to spend time finishing the buildout of our home. Instead of a room, we are looking for a driveway or piece of land where we can park the bus. We live in the bus full-time and we have a full kitchen, though through the end of 2019 it would be most convenient if we could have shared use of a toilet and shower in a host's home.
I have used couchsurfing for years, primarily in Amsterdam where I hosted people in my flat during University. I have never had the joy of staying with a host, though me and my partner Carmen are excellent guests! We mostly like to keep to ourselves and are very self-sufficient, though we do like to share some meals and get to know our hosts, as well as help out at the house if needed and desired.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can share a range of skills with our hosts if anyone needs support in the following:
electrical and metalwork
basic maintenance and repair
cooking and sharing meals
childcare
yoga, or support with exercise and diet goals
